Since emotions have been scientifically studied, their relationship to other characteristics of a person has also been considered. This volume presents biological and psychological approaches that describe individual differences in emotional reactions as personality traits, theoretical constructs used to explain personality differences in emotional experiences and behaviors, as well as variables that moderate the relationship between environmental events and emotional behaviors. Finally, an integration of the various approaches and empirical findings is undertaken, along with a look at potential applications of the results.
