The worship service as a place of education, the Bible school as a religious educational institution within the Adventist worship service? What educational understanding underlies this institution? How does it relate to the overall worship of the Adventist community? Roland E. Fischer explores these questions in this publication by first examining the educational understanding of the Seventh-day Adventists. Additionally, the Bible school is presented in its origin and development. It has undergone a significant pedagogical transformation, especially in recent decades. To understand it as an educational institution within the worship service, the theology and liturgy of the Adventist worship service are also highlighted. The Bible school in the worship service proves to be a primary place of education within the Adventist community.
