The book focuses on the part-time commercial agent (92b HGB), an exceptional case in commercial agent law. Important regulations, such as the compensation claim under 89b HGB, are withheld from them. Jurisprudence and literature have so far paid little attention to this type of intermediary. However, its practical significance has increased significantly. For instance, Deutsche Post AG treats the retailers entrusted with operating so-called postal agencies as part-time commercial agents. Starting from an examination of the historical development, the author critically analyzes the content and practical application of the regulation. In doing so, he particularly addresses the question of distinguishing between full-time and part-time commercial agent activities.
