Product details
The Reichserbhofgesetz (REG) represents a break in the development of German agricultural law. As one of the key laws of the Third Reich, it played a pioneering role in reshaping the legal order under the influence of National Socialism. With the legal implementation of the ideology of 'Blood and Soil,' its authors claimed the ambition to create a new 'Basic Law of German Peasantry' that went far beyond the regulatory scope of previous inheritance laws. This work addresses the history of the individual provisions of the Reichserbhofgesetz and their development through regulations from 1933 to 1945. The practical effects of the law and the reactions of the ministerial bureaucracy to it are the main focus.
