Product details
The author undertakes a grammatological and rhetorical analysis of the poems Esther and David and Jonathan by Else Lasker-Schüler, attempting to deconstruct the contrast between poetic language and scientific discourse in the process of a self-analysis of reading, subsequently revealing it as phantasmal. The reading follows similar principles that are effective in the production of texture and also corresponds with the poetic methodology of Else Lasker-Schüler. The intertextual reference framework established through written traces is realized at the level of cultural and religious traditions as well as Jewish textual traditions. The work posits that literary studies should not impose its categories on literature without reservation, but rather should expand itself by confronting the poetic process.
