The author comprehensively examines in-vitro fertilization and its consequences from a constitutional law perspective, assuming that embryos already possess fundamental rights. Under this premise, the issues of multiple transfers and low success rates are assessed, along with preimplantation diagnostics and the various possibilities of heterologous in-vitro fertilization. The discussion extensively addresses the question of how to deal with 'surplus' embryos, referred to here as 'parentless' embryos. While the author rejects research involving embryos, she advocates for embryo adoption.
