Abu alib al-Makki is one of the most important representatives of Islamic mysticism. His book "The Nourishment of the Hearts" is not only a classic of Islamic mysticism but also a work that has inspired and influenced many great mystics, such as Abu Hamid Muhammad al-Ghazali. This study aims to highlight the enormous contribution that al-Makki's book has made, particularly through the analysis of the chapter "On Knowledge." The primary focus is to create a concept of knowledge and to demonstrate its connection to faith. This will clarify what al-Makki understands by knowledge, the types of knowledge he distinguishes, how he categorizes them, the methods he proposes for acquiring knowledge, and the role that faith plays in this context. Additionally, the backgrounds that have significantly shaped al-Makki will also be analyzed in this work.
