Product details
This reception-historical study provides a panorama of literature and art at the Fin de Siècle. In addition to literary and theater studies aspects, it examines the fields of publishing and the press, supplemented by in-depth comparisons of works by six selected authors. The study not only pioneers by including Switzerland but also presents important, previously unpublished material. The appendix provides a chronological overview of all articles about Maeterlinck in the most important German-speaking cultural magazines of the time, as well as all theater performances of Maeterlinck's plays in Berlin, Munich, and Vienna up to 1914.
