Product details
This book provides the reader with a detailed insight into the tax legislation of the National Socialism and analyzes the corresponding jurisprudence of the Reich Finance Court in relation to the intentions of the ruling powers during the overall events from 1933 to 1945. The author examines whether and to what extent the tax legislation and tax jurisprudence during the Third Reich served as a political instrument of power. A number of questions arise in this context, many of which can be answered clearly from today's perspective: How did the tax legislation from 1933 onwards affect individuals? Did it mean the same for every citizen, or were there differences? Was a businessman burdened more than a worker? A Jew more than an Aryan? Can we still speak of law in general, or would tax injustice be the more accurate term?.
