Dr. Otto Georg Thierack served as President of the People's Court from 1936 to 1942 and then as Reich Minister of Justice until the collapse of the Third Reich. The aim of this work is to present Thierack's career and his activities in the judiciary. This includes a description of the various stages of his life, his education, his judicial service in Saxony, his time as Saxon Minister of Justice, as Vice President of the Reich Court, as President of the People's Court, and as Reich Minister of Justice. Following this is an account of the planned indictment in the Nuremberg Jurists' Trial and the atonement proceedings conducted against his estate before the Berlin Chamber of Judges.
