Product details

This book offers theological models that can assist anorexic and bulimic women in their therapeutic process. In the first, human sciences section of the work, problem areas of eating disorders are highlighted to discover possible paths out of the destructive dynamics of this addiction. In dialogue with psychological theories, the theological research has shown that the Old Testament prophetesses Deborah and Jael can serve as identification figures for anorexic and bulimic women. Another focus of this study is the teaching on the 'Holy Spirit.' The 'Holy Ruach' (Hebrew for 'Spirit') can be identified as an important source of strength for women with eating disorders, which can positively influence the therapeutic process.
