Product details
Children's and youth literature does not provide a reflection of reality but rather mirrors specific interpretative patterns and worldviews of the authors regarding social reality. This work examines what notions of normality and normativity modern children's literature conveys. In particular, the themes of gender roles, family, as well as love and friendship are analyzed and evaluated through a quantitative-qualitative approach. Based on the findings of this study, a literature didactic model for value education will be developed and demonstrated with examples.
