Product details
The aim of this study is to demonstrate the special effects of therapeutic riding compared to movement-oriented support. By examining the support needs of children with psychomotor disorders and the various therapy options, the unique characteristics of horses in therapy are highlighted and empirically tested. In the context of a one-year intervention study using a pre-post design, a total of 93 children were assessed using the MOT 4-6, the SPPC-D, and questionnaires for parents and teachers regarding self-concept, movement, and social behavior. The results of the study indicate the unique benefits of therapeutic riding for children with psychomotor disorders.
