Product details

This volume presents images and dreams/dream images of individuals following traumatic experiences and interprets them. It takes into account several groups of people who exhibit similar reactions to the traumatic events: war neurotics, concentration camp inmates, and abused, mistreated, and imprisoned children. When considering the first group, the sustained engagement with the reactions to the traumatic events begins with the war victims of World War I. However, prior to this, there had already been extensive discussions regarding the specific reactions of children and adolescents to sexual abuse and mistreatment. Since that time, the suffering of war veterans and detainees, as well as the psychological injuries of children, have come to the forefront of scientific considerations. This volume incorporates various levels of theoretical discussions and utilizes them for interpretation.
