Product details
Infrastructure investments have developed into an independent, alternative asset class. Infrastructure assets in developed countries are outdated, and emerging markets need to build new facilities. Due to the increasing interest in predictable income, private investors are increasingly investing. However, there is still a limited understanding of performance characteristics on a global scale. This work aims to provide a foundation for investment. The delineation of the asset class is demonstrated, the investment needs are examined, and interesting sectors and regions are highlighted. A central component is the performance analysis, which demonstrates increased efficiency in the allocation of infrastructure assets within a diversified portfolio.
