Krause examines the extent to which it is possible to establish an appropriate framework for the teaching of children's rights in schools. To this end, he analyzed the framework curricula of the federal states as well as the available training and continuing education offerings at the state level. He complements the evaluation with qualitative expert interviews, which also allow for valuable conclusions when read independently. A positive conclusion of the study is the unequivocal affirmation of children's rights, which can be found in all interviews and, with some exceptions, in the framework curricula as well. Overall, however, Krause arrives at a critical assessment of the competencies and opportunities of teachers to develop into agents of children's rights through training and continuing education.
