Cultures and societies in their specific forms have a systemic character and require a holistic approach. In the context of development policy measures, knowledge and technology transfer are inseparable from cultural transfer. An intersection of this process is the education sector. Measures of intergovernmental development aid that operate from a different cultural context into a specific traditional societal type represent an intervention in a foreign socio-cultural environment. The outlined connections are illustrated through the example of project everyday life at the German-Ethiopian Model University, Adama University.
