Product details

Patients with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) report experiencing aversive states of tension that often accompany dissociative states. The author provides a comprehensive overview of the empirical research on these topics. In the empirical part of the work, he examines the course of these tension states and their relationship with dissociative states. For this purpose, patients with BPD and control subjects were provided with a handheld PC for 48 hours, which prompted them hourly to assess the relevant parameters. The results indicate that Borderline patients have an elevated level of tension, which is triggered more frequently, rises more quickly, and lasts longer. Finally, tension states correlate highly significantly with dissociative states.
