The aim of the study is to identify trends in the development of juvenile criminal law in Germany throughout the entire period of specific discussions on juvenile criminal law, based on a broad foundation in the literature. To determine these trends, the enduring themes of juvenile criminal law are examined, such as the age of criminal responsibility, the age group of adolescents, education, educational measures, disciplinary methods, and juvenile criminal proceedings. Highlighting the development of criminological trends and their comparability across different time periods provides insights for the current discussion and future reforms in the entire field of criminal law, in addition to its historical documentation value.
