"There is nothing good, except: one does it" - so said Erich Kästner. However, it is not easy to do good or to educate towards morally correct actions. The internal processes that determine our actions are very complex. Without ignoring this complexity, the developed model structures and characterizes the process of action, particularly in morally relevant situations. The process model offers points of connection not only to explain the significance of personality traits and the situation for actions, to specify the relationship between (moral) judgments and actions, and to clarify the role of reflection and intuition in (professional) everyday actions, but also to critically reflect on the common practice of moral education.
