The author recounts his journey to Tanzania in his first travel report, where he climbed Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro with a group of climbers. Both free-standing mountain massifs are of volcanic origin and are nestled within national parks rich in diverse fauna and flora. To acclimatize, the author first ascended the 4,562-meter-high Mount Meru on a 4-day tour, and then climbed the 5,895-meter-high Kilimanjaro via the long Lemosho route over 6 days. His travel report is both informative, filled with background knowledge, personal experiences, and travel tips, as well as enriched with cheerful anecdotes and many color photographs.
