The opportunity to support the horse on the way to the assembly not only in the saddle but also from the ground without the rider's weight is often underestimated. This new publication addresses this topic. It offers a practical guide for groundwork and long-rein work. The focus is on the meaningful integration of these methods into dressage training. Supported by numerous drawings by Renate Blank and photos, various aspects are covered: learning environment and equipment, communication with the horse and aids, and the structure of teaching units. The handling of mistakes and their management are also discussed. Working in pairs offers expanded possibilities. Finally, when a rider is added, the transition to work under saddle can be prepared without support. This work holds a special position.
