Volume 7 of the collected works of Hans Küng demonstrates how Küng's thinking has continuously evolved through an ever-expanding horizon, with a persistent joy in philosophy accompanying him throughout. The core of the volume is the foundational work on Hegel's philosophy, "The Incarnation of God." This is preceded by an earlier and little-known text discussing Arnold J. Toynbee's philosophy of history. Following this, Küng describes his own journey in philosophy. The volume concludes with two speeches delivered on the occasion of the conferral of an honorary doctorate in philosophy to Hans Küng at the universities of Genoa and Madrid.
