Dances have always fascinated musically with their rhythms and melodies. In this book, they are designed to be practiced and performed both solo and for four hands. Beginners or slightly advanced children and adults will find a selection of beautifully sounding, easily arranged Central European and American dances. The solo part is initially notated in large print for easier learning. On the following right page, it is played just one octave higher. The accompaniment on the left side should be complemented as subtly and quietly as possible by the second player (teacher). Based on steady quarter or eighth note accompaniments, the four-hand version can be developed with a lot of fun. This collaboration strengthens the sense of rhythm and emphasizes the importance of a consistent tempo.
