The story of a great love - on the occasion of the 160th birthday of Joseph Conrad, published by Piper Edition. The aging English captain Nelson has settled on a small island between Borneo and Sumatra. It is the era of colonies, and he, as an Englishman, lives in an area dominated by the Dutch. His beautiful daughter Freya catches the interest of the unsympathetic Heemskirk, who sails under the flag of the colonial powers.
