Hoping for a better life, a young woman leaves her country and follows her husband to Paris. But her dreams do not come true in this glittering city: she still wears a burka, her husband controls her, and she is lonely. One day, however, she discovers a beautiful red dress in a shop window. Time and again, she passes by, filled with the desire to wear it and feel free. Shortly after, she comes across a book by Kant. She hides it from her husband and begins to secretly read it with her young daughter. Gradually, she feels how not only the dress but also Kant's words awaken a quiet longing in her - to lift the veil that separates her from life and finally touch the horizon she has only dreamed of...
