Roderic Gesamtausgabe
German, Lucien Meys, Martin Surmann, Mirko Piredda, William Vance, 2011Product details
Jerusalem during the time of the Crusaders. After the First Crusade, Godfrey of Bouillon founded the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. The knight Roderic, who dedicates himself to the noble cause, also bears its coat of arms. During one of his missions, he encounters the mysterious Amathea, who soon afterwards disappears without a trace. Roderic then brings an important parchment to the old man of the mountain, but the journey is long and fraught with dangers. Only two adventures of this thrilling knight story in the Orient exist, which are now being published for the first time in German as a complete edition. In the additional pages of the album, star artist William Vance also documents some works that inspired him in the illustrations for this series.
