Anita Schäfer, born on July 9, 1951, in Saalstadt, is a German politician and a member of the German Bundestag (CDU). After completing her secondary education, she trained as a translator at an Inlingua language school. She then worked until 1972 at the Thaleischweiler branch of BHG Raiffeisen Frankfurt am Main and subsequently as an employee in the administration of the Wallhalben municipal association. In 1979, she became the office manager for Bundestag member Werner Marx, who passed away in 1985. From 1987 to 1998, she managed the office of his successor in the Pirmasens constituency, Klaus-Dieter Uelhoff.
