Parents of mentally ill children often face the same challenges: they wonder if they are "to blame" for their child's illness. They contemplate how to respond when their child's symptoms worsen. Difficulties arise in critical everyday situations that can exacerbate the child's problems and drain the parents' energy. They often find themselves at the end of their rope. However, a supportive social environment is crucial for the successful treatment of children and adolescents. The parent training program "Plan E - Empowering Parents" was specifically designed to strengthen parents' parenting skills, improve interaction with their children, and encourage exchange with other parents. The program is brief, which promotes willingness to participate, and is applicable across various disorders. It can be implemented in inpatient, partial inpatient, and outpatient settings.
