The complex topic of new forms of work organization has several different dimensions. With regard to its social and collective bargaining dimensions, new forms of work organization can be seen as a visible sign of efforts to humanize working life, with the social partners naturally having different motivations for the introduction and implementation of employee-oriented structures. Based on the scientific accompanying research within the program for the humanization of working life, so-called action guides have been developed, focusing on parts manufacturing and assembly, to address a variety of problems and questions, categorized by individual disciplines such as engineering, vocational education, work psychology, and ergonomics.
