Marika Hildebrandt, an award-winning photographer, created this book as an homage to her homeland, which includes the Berchtesgaden National Park, the only high-altitude national park in Germany. Her love for nature, her inner attitude, her expressive emotionality, and her exceptionally high photographic skill made it possible to capture moments of timelessness and guide the viewer to seek and understand these moments. This book features striking images, an unusual layout, high print quality, and is complemented by text excerpts from the park's director. Nature conservation as a societal task is based on objective insights as well as the subjective attitudes and evaluations of each of us. These two pillars support the significance of nature conservation in our society.
