Product details

People behind the windows of city buses - they wait after a workday in the center of Paris for the bus to take them back to the suburbs. They appear introspective, lost in thought, their gaze directed at an inner landscape. The camera's view of the portrayed individuals is often fragmented by reflections and iridescent light flares. In contrast to these photographs are ephemeral traces of human presence: scratches etched into the glass, fingerprints, and other residues on the bus windows. In the photographs, they seem like abstract light gestures, cloud formations, or clusters of stars. It feels as if the viewer is looking into an incubator where the matrix of human existence is formed from the smallest particles.
