What factors lead adolescents and young adults to pay a certain level of attention to political developments? Where is there a particular need for political education to increase the political interest of young people? Based on a survey of more than 1,200 students aged between 17 and 24, the authors explore these questions. Additionally, the research questions were linked to the socio-economic background, aspects of political socialization, and the individual future expectations of the respondents.
