Product details

The long-awaited book on Pomerania by Heinz Schön about the escape across the Baltic Sea from the Pomeranian ports of Rügenwalde, Stolpmünde, Kolberg, Stettin, Swinemünde, Greifswald, Stralsund, and Sassnitz. Eleven chapters on the most important escape locations and ports of Pomerania, featuring 56 previously unpublished eyewitness accounts and many previously unpublished photos from the Pomerania Archive of Heinz Schön. The records of the eyewitnesses mainly originate from the 1940s and early 1950s. They have been verified and elaborated upon by Heinz Schön through follow-up questions.
