Product details
States characterized by positive emotionality, such as pride or joy, are also ubiquitous in corporate practice and thus economically significant. It is all the more surprising that there have been hardly any independent approaches from the field of Human Resource Management (HRM) research on this topic. Gordon Müller-Seitz approaches the phenomenon of positive emotionality in the organizational context from the perspective of HRM. He demonstrates that a narrow understanding focused primarily on psychological constructs, mostly concerning negative emotions, still dominates the field and systematically broadens the perspective to include the most relevant typical manifestations of positive emotionality. The author develops a theoretical framework regarding the emergence of positive emotionality and derives specific praxeological design options for its cultivation.
