Product details
Study paper from 2014 in the field of Psychology - Clinical and Health Psychology, Psychopathology, Grade: 1, Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (Psychology), Language: German.
Abstract: This paper addresses post-traumatic maturation. "Post-traumatic growth," or synonymously "post-traumatic maturation," is conceptualized as an antithesis to post-traumatic stress disorder and refers to the positive changes that individuals experience after traumatic events. Not only do they recover from the trauma, but they also undergo personal development that results from dealing with the experience of extreme stress. Affected individuals often report a growth in inner maturity, a newly defined sense of life, and personal insights.
