Product details

It looks like a gigantic concrete ship, the new 310-meter-long energy center Forsthaus near Bern. This European pioneering project for sustainable energy generation is located in a forest and marks a milestone on the path to phasing out nuclear power. Its high efficiency is due to a unique combination of a waste-to-energy plant, a wood-fired power plant, as well as a gas and steam combined cycle power plant and photovoltaic systems on the roof. The publication will be released for the official inauguration in spring 2013 and features numerous images and texts portraying the various elements of this pioneering project. Based on the vision of Energie Wasser Bern and commissioned by them, the facility was designed and built: overall project management and power plant planning by TBF + Partner AG, architecture by Graber Pulver Architekten, and civil engineering solutions.
