Martin Haberl demonstrates in this book that the substantial resources needed to establish adequate infrastructure in Sub-Saharan African countries can fundamentally be raised through public-private partnership projects. However, alongside political prerequisites, institutional requirements are also necessary, which are illustrated through the example of Cameroon. The author considers the stability of existing institutions to be essential, as it is crucial for long-term investments by private companies and also influences the choice of the respective PPP model.
