Research is gaining increasing importance not only in the formation of theories but also, and especially, in the practice of social work. The authors systematically and theoretically describe concrete practical knowledge, always using examples from various fields such as daycare centers, youth assistance, youth social work, addiction and offender support, counseling, and many other areas of social work. At the center is a presentation of the course of a practice research process oriented around twelve work steps, which can serve for the preparation, planning, and implementation of one's own approaches.
