In this work, the potentials of electrified drive concepts were analyzed in terms of sustainability and climate protection, as well as energy efficiency and customer requirements. The focus of the investigations was on determining the potentials of modern passenger car drive concepts to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, without neglecting costs and practicality. Depending on the electrification concept, the impacts vary in magnitude and may also be associated with usage restrictions.
