The authors of this book examine the challenges posed by the multicultural reality of society for social and educational professions, as well as various interdisciplinary approaches to the topic of intercultural competence. Challenges arising from migration, immigration, and cultural pluralism affect all fields and forms of practice in social and educational work: both fields within migration social work focusing on specific integration measures for migrants, initiatives and support in the area of asylum work, as well as advocacy initiatives for people in irregular living situations and all those areas of social work where access barriers exist for a migrant clientele.
