The small village of Giverny, northwest of Paris, was his refuge: in his house surrounded by a dreamy garden with the famous water lily ponds, the artist hosted his many friends with hearty yet highly delicate French dishes. The Carnets de Cuisine - original recipe notes by Monet found in his estate - allow us to partake in the delights of that time even today.
