A well-functioning partnership or family is proven to be an important resource and is one of the key pillars for a fulfilling and happy life. On the other hand, a dysfunctional partnership or family is a significant risk factor for the development of disorders. Therefore, prevention and health promotion in the area of partnerships and families gain particular importance. The volume first informs about the current state of research regarding the causes of unfavorable partnership trajectories and divorce, and provides an overview of prevention in couple and family research. Subsequently, various empirically based programs for universal, indicated, and selective prevention for the target groups "couples" and "parents" are presented. Additionally, prevention programs for specific target groups are highlighted.
