The workbooks support refugee youth in learning the German language and specifically promote their linguistic action and comprehension skills - both in and outside of school. Each unit contains three pages focusing on my school, my daily life, and easier learning. Additionally, there are many varied exercises and tasks to reinforce and deepen the learning material. Furthermore, Volume A1 strengthens written language competence. It also includes a page dedicated to building an age-appropriate basic vocabulary for classroom, school, and educational language.
