In early 1954, the lavishly produced Prince Valiant film starring Robert Wagner and Janet Leigh hit theaters in Hollywood. A few months later, a comic book adaptation was published by Dell Publishing. In a loose series, six more issues featuring adventure stories of the prince from Thule were released until 1958. The colored issues were illustrated by Bob Fujitani. The restored series of comics is being released in two volumes with additional information.
