Functional relaxation
German, 2013Product details
The book remains the foundation for working with Functional Relaxation (FR). In her work, Marianne Fuchs first presented the theory and practice of the method she developed in a coherent manner in 1974. For many years, it was out of print. Now, the text is available again in its seventh edition, unchanged in content. Not only psychotherapists and professionals from other healing professions, but also those working in counseling, such as social educators, effectively use FR. Small stimuli linked to the autonomous breathing rhythm lead to relaxation and noticeable physical and emotional changes. Self-reference is strengthened, self-regulation and body image are altered, and access to feelings and memories is facilitated. Current attachment theory and neurobiological concepts confirm the fundamental assumptions of Marianne Fuchs, who was ahead of her time.
