Product details

A programming language is a notation system in which instructions for a computing system can be formulated. It is also a tool for describing problems and their solutions. Therefore, a new programming language is justified whenever it offers new, more powerful concepts and more adequate means of abstraction compared to existing ones, making problem-solving easier and allowing for clearer representation of solutions. In the following chapters, we will present the elements of the Modula-2 programming language (Modular Programming Language; hereafter we will use Modula synonymously with Modula-2) in detail and demonstrate how to work with them through many examples. For those who already have programming experience, we will outline what Modula-2 offers in comparison to Pascal, for example.
