Alexander König has not been seen at his company, Krabbenhus, for days. His family does not seem to miss him; it is only after a report from an employee that the police get involved. Mats Flemming is completely unaware of this commotion. He is on his way to Morocco for König's Krabbenhus, transporting twenty tons of crabs to be processed in Tangier. However, upon his arrival, he encounters a gruesome surprise. Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Röverkamp and Inspector Marie Janssen are searching for Flemming's boss. They meet a rather unconcerned wife and a silent father. Gradually, they begin to suspect that König might not be a victim, but rather a perpetrator. Then they stumble upon a lead that points back to the past, to Cuxhaven in the 1990s. "Krabbenkönig" is the fifth case of the successful investigative team Konrad Röverkamp and Marie Janssen.
