To perform true spiritual work, one must adhere to a philosophy, to a system, and deepen it. Otherwise, the same thing happens to the psychic organism as can happen to the physical organism: if you consume all sorts of different foods, you will become ill. In the same way, the psychic organism can suffer from disturbances due to everything you introduce into it. What is it supposed to do with a mixture of Egyptian, Hindu, Tibetan, Chinese, Gnostic, and Aztec traditions? And then people blame spirituality for throwing them off track. It is not spirituality's fault if people absolutely refuse to understand that it is not a marketplace where one can find all sorts of attractions, even the most dangerous ones like drugs, black magic, or exaggerations.
