The volume comments on the middle 50 Psalms, including those that hold great significance in Judaism and Christianity. Each Psalm is analyzed and interpreted in its individual textual form as poetry and prayer. For the first time in a commentary, the individual Psalms are also placed within the context of the book, as the Psalter is not merely an archive but a deliberately crafted composition. Furthermore, the inner-biblical reception of the individual Psalms is presented, along with a detailed description of the updates that the Psalms received in the Septuagint and in the Psalter Targum. Finally, the commentary summarizes previous research on the Psalms and advances it from both a literary and theological perspective. Above all, it aims to inspire a love for the Psalter.
